from Homer's Odyssey:

THE JOURNEY TO ITHACA

"When you start on your journey to Ithaca, ask that the way be long." Pray for a lifetime filled with sea smells and trading ports, with "mother of pearl and corals, amber and ebony, and pleasurable perfumes of all kinds," so that you will arrive at your life's destination old, perhaps, but laden with rich experiences. Wisely, you will not expect your personal Ithaca to have anything left to give you, but "Ithaca has given you the splendid journey. Without her you would never have taken the road."

the charms of growing up....*sigh*

heh...i wonder if any of my fellow bloggers have missed me. =) See you soon.
