the believer is happy, but the doubter is wise...
so as the dreams get progressively worse, i continue to get more and more exhausted. Hmm....
i'm kind of afraid to go to sleep because the oatmeal gets more and more dangerous...
i wonder why i KEEP on having it...i wonder what it means....=T i guess if i have one more bad dream, i'll go talk to somebody about it.
anywho, today was so fun. =)
i went to class, had a test i totally forgot about, was very relieved because it was very easy, spent 30 minutes talking to Matt and Talal *sigh* ^_~* left early with Tar-cee, went to old high school to drop off homework to forgetful teen sister, came home, took care of bidness, did a little tappin, a little ticklin, a little jazzin, went to tutor pumpkinhead and twittyface, was happy to see Tar-cee again with her airhead kids, listened to Harry Potter music and Arirang and other such nice stuffs, came home, made dinner for momma, then went out to Congratulatory U.C. dinner with tar-cee, her sisters, Pay-tah, Pay-tah's daddy, and Tarcee's daddy, watched the Lakers almost make it ( 2 points !! ) only to be bitterly disappointed, and NOW I AM HOME ! Muhaha....
the tappin shoes are a tap tap tappin thisaway......uh oh......=)
Yay for crispy MarbLe FlooR !! =)

On the current state of the world...
"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the American Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named "Bush", "Dick" and "Colon"....."
-Chris Rock
teeheehee...

On Time...
so i'm reading this really touching korean book...and although i need my korean dictionary for almost every other sentence, its really a great book. Comparable to Chicken Soup...but i'd say better, in a makes-you-think, philosophical kind of way.
well, i wanted to share this one story, although i doubt i'd be able to translate it half as good as it is in the book.
There was once an old teacher of philosophy. He wanted to teach his students a lesson about time, and came up with one that the students would never forget.
He came to class, and pronounced to the students, " Ok kiddos, lets figure out this quiz question".
He proceeded to take out a large clay pot from the closet and place it on the table. Then he took out fist-sized rocks and placed them in the pot, one by one, until the pot was filled to the brim with the rocks.
"Is this pot full?" he asked the students.
They all looked at one another and agreed in unison. " Yes" they called out.
"Is that so?" the teacher replied as he took out a large bowl full of pebbles. He scooped up a handful of pebbles and poured it into the pot and shook it. He then scooped again and again, until the whole bowl of pebbles had been poured into the pot, filling the crevices between the fist-sized rocks.
He asked his students again " Is this pot full?"
The students were perplexed, and with eyes as round as plates, they all replied..."well sir...i dont really know..."
The teacher said...."alright", and went yet again to the closet, this time with a bag full of sand. He poured the large bag of sand into the pot until it was empty. The sand had found its place in between the large rocks and pebbles.
He asked his students yet again " Is this pot full?".
His students, bewildered, all curiously answered " no?".
The professor said, " You are correct", at which he took the kettle and poured a vast amount of water into the seemingly full pot.
" Now what was the point of this little lesson?" he asked his students.
One brave young student replied.." Even if your schedule is jam-packed because you lead such a busy lifestyle, if you try hard enough, you can fit in new things in the times in between".
"Nope" the teacher said.
The students' eyes wide, and minds inquiring, waited for his wise response.
" In this day and age, that's not the point of this story. The point is....if you dont put the large rocks in first, you'll never have an opportunity to put them in ever again."
Isnt it a great story? =)
well, it made me think. heh. Its kind of odd, because when i thought i got rejected, i was really upset with myself. I realized that the differentiating factor between me and those who got accepted was that, those people were sincere about their college career, and i wasnt. All those times they were studying, i was playing outside with my freaky little tap dancing shoes or playing my piana or going to see the ducks. So when i thought i got rejected, i was like.." wow, i got what i deserved".
And then, a blessing from God, ( it all happened ExActLy that way for a reason ) i get this spiffy idea to call the admissions office.I dunno why i did it ( God made me do it ! heh ), but i'm sure glad i did ! cuz whaddo you know? oops! She made a mistake counting....i'm accepted. ( "sorry, i need a new calculator" she says ). Heh ! =)
and then i felt like such a sneaky cheat. =( Because i never once gave my books the least amount of decency they deserved to open them up, maybe even read them once in a while.....and other people did....
but i still got in like them.
So that whole experience has motivated me to truly embody a sincerely studious mentality at....woohoodeehoo !! UCSD !! =)
Gotta get those rocks in first, ya know ! =)
so i'm going to switch...well maybe not switch, maybe take on double major Communicative studies and Soc. =)
i'm gonna make momma proud.
*ahh* i feel so happy. =) I havent felt this happy in about.....2 years.
Isnt that so cute, what they write on the envelope? " Congratulations !! its not the LITTLE envelope ! "
ahaha..
So yesterday, i drove back from UCSD...and it wasnt at aLL as bad as i thought it would be, it was almost fun ! and it only took 2.5 hours.
although stop and go traffic with a stick'll be the pits...=T Heh.
I've come down with this crazy affliction for Jazz and Cabaret tunes, not to mention Adrienne Brody ....so i'm putting my tax dollars to work =) Its amazing the types of things you can borrow from the library, isnt it? Its simply wonderful....
so i came home with tons of jazz books....and fell in love with this old song by Irving Berlin....
Its called " I love a piano"...
( my sentiments, exactly)
" as a child, i went wilde when a band played, how i ran to the man when his hand swayed
and a slide trombone i thought was simply divine, but there's one instrument that i call mine....
i love a piano
i love a piano
i love to hear somebody play upon a piano,
a grand piano, it simply carries me away.
I know a fine way, to treat a Steinway,
I love to run my fingers over the keys, the ivories.
i love to stop right, beside an upright...or a high toned baby-grand ! "
- Irving Berlin
( yeah, it would sound a lot more better if you could actually hear the song...=)
